In accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers dated January 03 of this year, it has been hereby announced that the Digital Security Authority has been appointed as the National Cybersecurity Certification Authority (NCCA) in the Republic of Cyprus.

Cyprus tourist arrivals for December 2023 reached 123.630 compared to 110.041 in December 2022, recording an increase of 12,3 percent. For the period of January – December 2023, arrivals of tourists totalled 3.845.652 compared to 3.201.080 in the corresponding period of 2022, recording an increase of 20,1 percent.

The movement of travellers to and from Cyprus in 2022 recorded an increase compared to 2021 and 2020. Total arrivals of travellers reached 4.833.939 recording an increase of 85,8 percent and departures totalled 4.815.779, also recording an increase of 86,4percent, compared to 2021. In 2020 arrivals of travellers reached 1.164.938 and departures 1.167.942. Air traffic represented 95,5 percent of arrivals and 95,4 percent of departures in 2022.

Eurostat has recently announced that another peer review report within the third round of European Statistical System (ESS) peer reviews — the peer review report on Cyprus — is now publicly available on Eurostat’s thematic web page and on the web page of Cyprus’ Statistical Service

The arrivals of tourists reached 426.272 in October of this year compared to 400.628 in October 2022, recording an increase of 6,4 percent. For the period of January – October, arrivals of tourists totalled 3.562.417 compared to 2.941.182 in the corresponding period of 2022, recording an increase of 21,1 percent.

The arrivals of tourists to Cyprus reached 487.350 in September of this year compared to 413.382 in September 2022, recording an increase of 17,9 percent. For the period of January – September, arrivals of tourists totalled 3.136.145 compared to 2.540.554 in the corresponding period of 2022, recording an increase of 23,4 percent.
