As we are all counting our loses in the tourism industry, due to the pandemic and its consequences, this year’s World Tourism Day celebrated on 27 September  was an opportunity to send a message of hope and optimism reminding everyone that tourism and travelling create moments of happiness and authentic experiences.

Cyprus Airways announced the launch of ticket sales for winter 2020 – 2021. The winter schedule includes Athens and Heraklion, as well as the addition of a new route Moscow - Larnaca. The arrivals of tourists to Cyprus reached 104,261 in August of this year compared to 553,845 in August 2019, recording a decrease of 81,2 percent.
