CSO and UCLan Cyprus Sign European Sports Week MoU

This year’s European Sports Week is being supported with the participation of operators, aiming to attract more locals to physical activity and athletics.

To assist this idea, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Cyprus Sport Organization (CSO) and the university UCLan Cyprus.

The MoU sets out the framework for cooperation in the fields of sport, science, education and research. Overall, it aims to promote and upgrade the synergies that can be developed in the areas of athletic research and education.

The MoU was signed by Kleanthis Georgiadis, chairman, CSO, and Floros Voniatis, chairman of the board, UCLan Cyprus University.

During the MoU signing, officials stressed the fact that partnerships with educational institutions are of paramount importance to CSO, since they contribute substantially to the organisation's effort to improve sports in Cyprus.
