The Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative (CSTI) is an independent non-profit organisation, which was established in 2006 to promote the development of sustainable tourism.

CSTI’s aim is to contribute to the development of sustainable tourism in Cyprus, which protects the environment, supports the local economy and promotes local culture.

To celebrate the 12 years of presence in the tourism industry of Cyprus the CSTI organised with great success its 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Event ‘Prevent Plastic in the Mediterranean Sea’ under the framework of the BeMed programme, on October 26, at Panos Solomonides Cultural Centre, Limassol.

The event was under the auspices of Nicos Anastasiades, president, Republic of Cyprus.

The presentation of the programme ‘Prevent Plastic in the Mediterranean Sea’ was conducted by Philippos Drousiotis, chairman, CSTI , and the event was concluded with the CSTI Sustainability Awards 2018.
