Authentic taste of the handmade culinary traditions that are still lovingly produced by generations of women in Larnaca region’s rural villages will be on display.
Organised by the Ladies Association of Rural Larnaka, the festival will take place at Alaminos village this year, and is an opportunity for the members of the association to showcase and sell their handmade food, drink and traditional handicrafts at the festival stalls.
Aside from an enjoyable day of sampling and buying authentic, local products, the traditional atmosphere of the event is further enhanced by a rich cultural programme of folkloric music and dance in celebration of the enduring local customs.
The festival is free admission and is also a great opportunity to visit Alaminos and tour its other sights.
The Women’s Rural Association of Larnaka was founded in 2004 with an aim to support and promote entrepreneurial women in the rural areas of Larnaka through promotional and cultural events.
