Cyprus Revenue from Tourism for March Announced

Based on the results of the Passengers Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism in Cyprus reached EUR113,0 million in March this year compared to EUR97,8 million in the corresponding month of 2023, recording an increase of 15,5 percent.

For the period of January – March of the current year, revenue from tourism is estimated at EUR223,3 million compared to EUR200,0 million in the corresponding period of 2023, recording an increase of 11,7 percent.

The average expenditure per person was EUR558,88 in March this year compared to EUR530,72 in March 2023, recording an increase of 5,3 percent. Tourists from the UK (the largest tourist market with 31,8 percent of the total tourists in March 2024) spent on average EUR73,49 per day, while tourists from Poland (the second largest market during the specific month with 10,4 percent of the total tourists) spent on average EUR75,86. Tourists from Germany (the third largest market with 9,8 percent), spent on average EUR98,66 per day.
