Cyprus Revenue from Tourism in July Show Increase

Based on the results of the passengers survey carried out by the Statistical Service, Cyprus revenue from tourism reached EUR474,0 million in July of this year, recording an increase of 4,3 percent as compared to the corresponding month of 2023 (EUR454,6 million).

For the period of January – July 2024, revenue from tourism is estimated at EUR1.610,4 million compared to EUR1.544,7 million in the corresponding period of 2023, recording an increase of 4,3 percent.

The average expenditure per person was EUR859,95 in July of this year compared to EUR867,96 in July 2023, recording a decrease of 0,9 percent.

Tourists from the UK (the largest tourist market with 33,9 percent of the total tourists in July 2024) spent on average EUR95,02 per day, while tourists from Israel (the second largest market during the specific month with 12,9 percent of the total tourists) spent on average EUR140,24. Tourists from Poland (the third largest market with 6,4 percent), spent on average EUR86,02 per day.
