Cyprus Revenue from Tourism for December Announced

Based on the results of the passenger’s survey carried out by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism in Cyprus reached EUR74,3 million in December 2023 compared to EUR57,6 million in the corresponding month of 2022, recording an increase of 29 percent.

For the period of January – December 2023, revenue from tourism is estimated at EUR2.990,6 million compared to EUR2.439,2 million in the corresponding period of 2022, recording an increase of 22,6 percent.

The average expenditure per person was EUR600,79 in December 2023 compared to EUR523,42 in December 2022, recording an increase of 14,8 percent.

Tourists from the UK (the largest tourist market with 23,4 percent of the total tourists in December 2023) spent on average EUR56,23 per day, while tourists from Poland (the second largest market during the specific month with 11,5 percent of the total tourists) spent on average EUR69,89.

Tourists from Greece (the third largest market with 10,3 percent), spent on average EUR39,41 per day.
