Cyprus’s flag carrier has used this recent time of limited mobility to gather its strengths and rewrite its strategic plan. All indications show its recovering in the right direction. It recently added two new aircraft (Airbus A320) with space for 180 passengers to its fleet and employed 10 additional crews (50 people) to operate the new aircraft.

In December 2021, the number of commercial flights in the EU  increased by 130 percent compared with December 2020. However this is still below the pre-pandemic levels (-24 percent compared with December 2019).
