According to the Statistical Service of Cyprus’ Passenger Survey, revenue from tourism in April reached EUR189.6 million, recording 37.5 percent increase compared to the EUR137.9 million received in the corresponding month of 2016.

Expenditure per person for the month under review reached EUR662.06 compared to EUR611.37 in 2016, recording an 8.3 percent rise. On the basis of the evidence and information available to Cyprus Tourism Organisation, it is estimated that the returns of the tourism industry will be maintained at very satisfactory levels, in line with the strategic goal set by the authority.

The present, robust picture of Cyprus’ tourism industry reflects the methodical and laborious work done by all stakeholders, both private and public.
