Larnaka Tourism Board is spearheading and sponsoring upgrades and initiatives across the region with exciting projects within the city and at several villages and communities for this year, aimed at improving facilities and leisure options. 

A series of innovative virtual projects for Larnaca region were presented on October 21 at an event held by Larnaca Tourism Board (LTB) and the Youth Board of Cyprus (ONEK), with the support of Larnaca Municipality and the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Tourism (DMT).

A tour of the new Multispace of Creativity and Culture (former Larnaka Club-Mattei House) for travel agents and tourist guides was organised on Sept 01 by Larnaka Tourism Board (LTB), Larnaka Municipality and the Association of Cyprus Travel Agents (ACTA), with the aim of encouraging tourist visits.

The Larnaca Tourism Board (LTB) hosted and participated in a two-day meeting of the partners of the Erasmus+ programme ‘Tourism for People with Sensory Disabilities’ on July 08 and 09, at its premises in Larnaca town centre.

The eagerly awaited, new Lefkara Multi-functional Conference Centre has officially opened, bringing a modern facility to the traditional mountain village - famous worldwide for its handmade embroidery and other unique handicrafts.

With tourism ‘on pause’ during the Covid-19 global pandemic, the region of Larnaca prolongs in revealing its new hotels and additional holiday accommodation, although Marios Polyviou, CEO, Sunnyseeker Hotels and board member of the Larnaka Tourism Board informs on what is to expected when we things are ‘open for business’ again.

This year is set to be a landmark for the Larnaca region as 2020 sees the completion of many, major projects that are set to upgrade facilities, services, infrastructure and leisure options, with additional projects also commencing.

A weekly programme with a wonderful array of complimentary activities is organised in Larnaca every winter for tourists staying in licenced hotels, apartments and agrotouristic establishments within the Larnaca region.

The foundation stone for landscaping the riverbed Kamara in Tochni was placed on October 12.

Repeat tourists to Larnaca were honoured as part of the ‘Larnaka's Loyal Friends’ programme by the Larnaca Tourism Board, the Pyla Community Council and Lordos Beach Hotel.
