Andri Penta, organisational leader, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Cyprus and Charalambos Dionysiou, president, Pancyprian Confederation of Parents' Associations of Public Secondary Schools, met on September 15 to discuss ways of cooperation between the two parties.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities, operates hostels in 65 countries. Also, the foundation will soon open a hostel in Nicosia to accommodate parents whose children are receiving treatment in the capital's hospitals.
Upon reaching the agreement, the students of secondary education and their families, will be able through the possibilities offered by the institution, if necessary, to be hosted in the hostel of the foundation in Nicosia, or in case they have to go to a medical centre abroad, to be hosted in one of the Ronald McDonald Houses operating in the respective country.
Within the framework of the cooperation, when the health conditions allow, actions and events will take place, which will aim at informing, and also supporting the work of the foundation and the
welfare fund of the confederation.
