The Stelios Awards for Disabled Entrepreneurs, in partnership with Leonard Cheshire, is back for its 11th year.

The UK-based contest is a business award run in partnership with Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, recognising the exceptional spirit and business ability of disabled entrepreneurs.

Winners take home GBP30,000 (EUR33,992) and shortlisted finalists GBP10,000 (EUR11,331).

The organisers welcome applications from start-ups and companies which have been up and running, but things all winners have had in common is determination, drive and talent to create a flourishing business.

Past participants have all have benefited from the publicity, funding and mentoring surrounding the awards.

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, founder, Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, commented, "I was keen to establish an award which gives disabled people an opportunity to showcase their ability rather than have them negatively judged by their disability."
