Student.com Reveals Students Spend on Accommodation

Student housing website, Student.com, released a report namely, Cities in Focus: 2018 Global Student Accommodation Indicator, revealing how much students spend on their accommodation in top study destinations across around the world.

Some of the report’s key findings include the fact that the average weekly spend on rent worldwide is approximately EUR183 per week. On average, students in Australia (EUR 219) spend the most on their weekly rent, specifically 19 percent more than the global average.

When it comes to specific cities, students in Albacete, Spain, (EUR 52) spend the least on their accommodation rent, followed by students in Johannesburg, South Africa, (EUR65) and Singapore (EUR 81). Overall, students in Boston (EUR399) spend the most, followed by New York (EUR 346) and London (EUR291).
