Savvas Perdios, deputy minister for tourism, Cyprus, said that this year is a difficult year for tourism, but emphasised that there is no need for panic.

According to Eurostat, more than half of Cypriots could not afford a one-week annual holiday away from home in 2018.

Savvas Perdios , deputy minister of tourism, Cyprus, has had meetings in Lebanon and Jordan and will also visit Greece, Egypt and Israel aiming to reach an agreement on the creation of common tourism packages.

In the context of the meetings, Perdios submitted specific proposals aiming to reach agreement for common thematic routes.
