Based on the results of the Passengers Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, Cyprus’s revenue from tourism reached EUR310,5 million in May of this year, recording a minor decrease of 0,2 percent as compared to the corresponding month of 2023 (EUR 311,0 million).

Cyprus tourist arrivals reached 202.256 in March of this year compared to 184.263 in March 2023, recording an increase of 9,8 percent. For the period of January – March, arrivals of tourists totalled 415.251 compared to 393.893 in the corresponding period of 2023, recording an increase of 5,4 percent.

During 2023, guests spent 678.6 million nights in short-term rental accommodation in the EU booked via Airbnb, Booking, Expedia Group or TripAdvisor. This corresponds to a 13.8 percent increase compared with 2022 (596.5 million).

Based on the results of the Passengers Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, Cyprus revenue from tourism reached EUR45,2 million in January of this year compared to EUR45,6 million in the corresponding month of 2023, recording a decrease of 0,9 percent.

The arrivals of tourists reached 342.736 in April of this year compared to 289.335 in April 2022, recording an increase of 18,5 percent. For the period of January – April 2023, arrivals of tourists totalled 736.629 compared to 534.040 in the corresponding period of 2022, recording an increase of 37,9 percent.
