Cyprus tourist arrivals reached 509.463 in September of this year compared to 487.350 in September 2023, recording an increase of 4,5 percent.

Based on the results of the passengers survey carried out by the Statistical Service, Cyprus revenue from tourism reached EUR474,0 million in July of this year, recording an increase of 4,3 percent as compared to the corresponding month of 2023 (EUR454,6 million).

 

 The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), in collaboration with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism, recently launched a new report revealing the stark impact of the pandemic on woman and youth employment within the global travel and tourism sector.

Based on the results of the Passengers Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, Cyprus revenue from tourism reached EUR385,2 million in June of this year compared to EUR361,5 million in the corresponding month of 2023, recording an increase of 6,6 percent.

A total of 415 deals (comprising mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, and venture financing deals) were announced in the travel and tourism sector during January to July of this year, which was a year-on-year (YoY) decline of 10.4 percent compared to the 463 deals announced during the same period in 2023, according to GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

Cyprus tourists’ arrivals reached 551.229 in July of this year compared to 523.718 in July 2023, recording an increase of 5,3 percent. For the period of January – July 2024, arrivals of tourists totalled 2.203.704 compared to 2.137.408 in the corresponding period of 2023, recording an increase of 3,1 percent.
