Within the framework of promoting tourism in Paphos, Pafos Regional Board of Tourism represented Cyprus in the International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM), one of the leading tourism events in Tel-Aviv.

The growing interest of Israel for Paphos is primarily the result of increased flying frequencies between Israel and Cyprus.

The Israeli market moved upwards in 2016, reaching 148,000 arrivals, showing an increase of 50 percent compared to 2015.

Within other subjects discussed at the event, Pafos Regional Board of Tourism promoted Cyprus as an ideal destination for sports tourism, weddings, ceremonies and conferences and pointed out various opportunities that the city offers to its visitors either on a seasonal or year-round basis.
