During the 40th Annual CHA Hotel Conference, Haris Loizidis, president, CHA, addressed the challenges which are; the implementation of a new national tourism strategy; the use of fast-track staff training programmes, focusing on young unemployed people; and the exploitation of technological possibilities in order to promote the tourism product to a more targeted audience, while simultaneously being more efficient.
Additionally, Loizides referred to factors that led to recent years that yielded successful results. Among other things, he mentioned the rapid reaction to new data and productive cooperation between the state and private sector.
