Ayia Napa Marina proudly raises the culinary bar in Cyprus, announcing the signing of an exclusive agreement between Ayia Napa Marina Hospitality Ltd and Joël Robuchon International.

Cyprus’ Department of Fisheries and Marine Research (TATHE) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, has informed the public about the beginning of the spawning season of sea turtles in Cyprus from mid-May until the end of September.

Two species of sea turtles breed on the beaches of Cyprus, the Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas and the Caretta caretta). In the Mediterranean, Green Turtles breed almost exclusively in Cyprus and Turkey. Caretta gives birth in Greece and in smaller numbers and in other Mediterranean countries.

Costa Smeralda, Costa Cruises’ flagship, left the port of Savona May 01, for a week-long cruise in Italy. A new manual was introduced for the monitoring of marine litter where the purpose of the handbook is to provide more reliable and comparable data. This is to allow experts to assess the impact of measures already in place to reduce marine litter pollution and to better understand where to focus future clean-up efforts of the beaches and seas of Europe.
