A new addition to the Eastern Mediterranean offshore sailing calendar was established this year with the successful introduction of the Herzilya Marina to Limassol Marina sailing regatta.

The Cyprus Shipping Chamber has welcomed the decision of the council of ministers to support the formation of the Cyprus Foundation of the Sea (FOS).

DP World Limassol has joined MedCruise as an associate member, aiming to stimulate the sustainable growth of cruise activities at Limassol port, as well as to strengthen Cyprus’ position in the sector.

The strong ties between Cyprus and Israel were once again confirmed in the Cyprus – Israel Regatta, organised by the Israel Yacht Club together with the Famagusta District Sailing Club Begafigo from October 03–12.

The Maritime Cyprus Conference, said to be one of the most important international shipping events, was demonstrated for the 15th time, in Evagoras Lanitis centre, Limassol, by the presence of numerous distinguished personalities of the maritime and shipping industry.

The historic Italian training vessel Palinuro arrived in Larnaca on August 29 and will be open to the public until September 01 before returning to its port in Italy.
