Limassol Marina Fishing Tournament Supports Anti-Cancer Society

Limassol Marina hosted a tuna fishing charity tournament in commemoration of three associates of Cyprus Fishing Magazine to raise funds for Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society.

Amounting to EUR750, all proceeds from the July 15 tournament, organised by the magazine, Limassol Marina and the Cyprus Association for Recreational Fishing Vessels (SISAEL), were handed to the chairman of the Limassol Branch of Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society.

The event began at 04:30 as 25 fishing crews sailed off the coast of Limassol from the Limassol Marina slipway for tuna fishing.

In the Corporate category of the tournament, the winner was DP World, with a total catch of 16.85 kg, followed by Eurogate, with seven kilograms.

The SISAEL Members category winner was Andreas Antoniou, who managed to catch 28.1 kg of fish.
