According to new research from Phocuswright, the global travel market is forecasted to grow between 6-10 percent per year through 2026.  The industry has now exceeded pre-pandemic levels, recording a 24 percent jump in gross bookings in 2023, and a total spend of USD1.5 trillion.

In the second quarter of this year, the job vacancy rate was 2.6 percent in the euro area, down from 2.9 percent in year’s first quarter and down from 3.1 percent in the second quarter of 2023, according to figures published by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.

Cyprus tourists’ arrivals reached 551.229 in July of this year compared to 523.718 in July 2023, recording an increase of 5,3 percent. For the period of January – July 2024, arrivals of tourists totalled 2.203.704 compared to 2.137.408 in the corresponding period of 2023, recording an increase of 3,1 percent.
