Positive Performance for BLUE MED FAB

European Union mandated BLUE MED Functional Airspace Block (FAB) has reported steady results in terms of its air traffic flow and capacity management.

Although in August air traffic decreased 0.4 percent for Cyprus, and 1.53 percent for Greece, BLUE MED members Italy and Malta experienced a surge of 3.27 percent and 5.8 percent, respectively.

During the period between May – August, figures for Cyprus rose 0.97 percent, Italy witnessed a 3.06 percent boost, Malta recorded an improvement of 10 percent, and Greece posted a decline of 1.68 percent.

Additionally, Cyprus achieved an en-route delay reduction of 64.67 percent in August, while between May – August it dropped 74.59 percent.
