Cyprus Revenue from Tourism +17,6 Percent for April

Based on the results of the passenger survey carried out by the Cyprus Statistical Service, revenue from tourism reached EUR217,6 million this April compared to EUR185,1 million in the corresponding month of 2022, recording an increase of 17,6 percent.

For the period of January – April of this year, revenue from tourism is estimated at EUR417,6 million compared to EUR322,0 million in the corresponding period of 2022, recording an increase of 29,7 percent.

The average expenditure per person was EUR634,89 in April compared to EUR639,65 in April 2022, recording a decrease of 0,7 percent.

Tourists from the UK (the largest tourist market with 36,3 percent of the total tourists in April) spent on average EUR79,51 per day, while tourists from Israel (the second largest market during the specific month with 9,9 percent of the total tourists) spent on average EUR120,23. Tourists from Poland (the third largest market with 6,7 percent), spent on average EUR77,67 per day.
