Cyprus: Revenue from Tourism for September Down

On the basis of the results of the Cyprus Passenger Survey, revenue from tourism reached EUR377,2 million in September compared to EUR378,8 million in the corresponding month of 2018, recording a decrease of 0,4 percent.

For the period of January – September revenue from tourism is estimated at EUR2,234,0 million compared to EUR2,268,5 million in the corresponding period of 2018, recording a decrease of 1,5 percent.

The expenditure per person for September reached EUR718,81 compared to EUR728,23 in the corresponding month of 2018, recording a decrease of 1,3 percent.

The expenditure per person/per day for September compared to September 2018 recorded an increase of three percent (from EUR76,66 to EUR78,99). A decrease of 4,2 percent was recorded in the average length of stay, from 9,5 days in September 2018 to 9,1 days in September this year.

The expenditure per person for the period of January – September reached EUR685,15 compared to EUR700,21 in the corresponding period of the previous year, recording a decrease of 2,2 percent.

The expenditure per person/per day for the period of January – September compared to the period of January – September 2018 recorded an increase of 1,1 percent (from EUR75,29 to EUR76,13).
