CYS Reveals New Food Safety Management System

Cyprus Standardization Organization (CYS) hosted a news briefing on July 13 with the theme, CYS EN ISO 22000: 2018 Food safety management systems - Requirements for chain company foods.

The purpose of the meeting was to inform about the basic requirements of CYS EN ISO 22000: 2018, the changes that the new version contains in relation to the previous version, the co-existence of the two editions, amongst other discussion topics.

The conference was held with the support of the Health Services of the Ministry of Health.

After the end of the news briefing, stakeholders asked questions about the requirements of the standard and the implementation of the new version. The event was attended by more than 100 executives from the Cypriot industry, private and public sector companies and services that implement food safety management systems.
