The Board is working closely with Paphos’ municipalities, hoteliers in the region, and other travel and tourism professionals, to promote the area, with the support of Cyprus Tourism Organisation.
Aiming to eclipse the problem of seasonality, increase emerging market visitor numbers, and promote niche tourism, activities planned for May include stakeholders taking part in tourism-themed workshops in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
Also, journalists and bloggers from target market countries including Ireland, the UK, Poland and Italy, have, in cooperation with Irish low-cost airline, Ryanair, been invited to visit Paphos, one of the carrier’s hubs.
The Board is also continuing to distribute printed and electronic material promoting Paphos tourism within Cyprus and overseas, and plans to shortly launch a new website promoting the region.
