The award ceremony was organised by Cyprus Tourism Organization (CTO) on January 30, at Nicosia’s Hospitality Conference Centre, where Angelos Loizou, CEO, CTO, awarded Vassilis Konstantinou, general manager, Larnaca Famagusta Development Association.

Mountainous Larnaca is among the 18 communities that are regularly being promoted by the Skarinou-based Environmental Information Centre.

Larnaca Famagusta Development Association also announced that it is preparing an action plan to promote the destination with its latest recognition.

Mountainous Larnaca has a long history of cultural and historical development, including archaeological sites, churches, monasteries and traditional settlements.
