The Larnaka Municipal Gallery – Christoforou Collection has opened this summer and will exhibit around 150 artworks by Greek painters and engravers of the 19th - 20th centuries; exhibited with the kind permission of retired Cypriot diplomat Charalambos Christoforou and his spouse Maria Christoforou. 

The inauguration of the photographic exhibition ‘KTICIC’ by the Press and Information Office (PIO) in collaboration with the ‘Nicosia International Festival’ took place on December 07, at the Municipal Theatre of Nicosia.

Athienou Municipality has one of the richest histories of traditional food production in Larnaca region - and the island - and the most elements (eight) included on the UNESCO National Intangible Cultural Heritage List, with five of those related to food (including Lokoumi wedding sweetbread making tradition and ‘kleftiko’ meat dish that is cooked slowly in a sealed pot; traditionally a clay pot in a clay oven).

A second Larnaca region archaeological site has been virtually reconstructed under a cooperation between Larnaka Tourism Board (LTB) and the Youth Makerspace Larnaka branch of Youth Board of Cyprus (ONEK).
