Lefkara: A new village square is being created with the first phase recently completed. The village square is the hub of this mountainous community and the setting for many of its wonderful, traditional celebrations.
Choirokoitia: A three-year project will begin this year to upgrade the village’s core facilities and infrastructure. This will include the paving of roads, new public lighting and bins – all in-line with the village’s quaint, traditional character - and the creation of improved disabled access.
Tochni: The picturesque Kamara River area will be landscaped with the addition of an amphitheatre, pedestrian lanes and bridge, parking area, children’s playground, and increased greenery to create a recreational spot amidst nature. The project will take around two years to complete.
Livadia: A general upgrading of core infrastructure will take place in this large community of Larnaca that extends from Larnaca city. The project will take two years to complete and will focus on the improvement of public facilities and the creation of additional infrastructure around St. Paraskevi Park and the Craft of Canning Museum.
Zygi: The famous fishing village is getting ready for the summer season with a ‘refreshing’ of its scenic linear park. The project includes renovating its pedestrian paths, children’s playground, and a refreshment kiosk.
Voroklini: The coastal community continues with the construction of its pedestrian walkway, which began in 2017. Phase B will be completed by the end of April and will extend the promenade path from Mer Bleu restaurant to Lebay Beach Hotel (along Larnaka-Dekeleia Road).
