The geo-political tensions in the Middle East have negatively impacted Cyprus Airways. During the month of November, the airline carried 41 percent less passengers and operated 12 percent less flights than 2022. This reduction was however offset by a 21 percent increase in revenues, 115 percent increase in average fares and a significant increase in the net income position. Routes like Dubai, Paris and Milan also performed better and helped the Airline compensate for the loss of traffic.

Cyprus Airways has become the latest carrier to deploy airline technology provider AirFi’s wireless in-flight entertainment across its fleet of Airbus jets.  

Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has increased the number of flights it operates to Athens and Larnaca to boost its operations to Europe.

 

 Cyprus Airways had recentlly announced its traffic results for the month of September of this year. During this period, the airline transported a total of 48,560 passengers, representing a significant 30 percent increase in passenger numbers when compared to the same month in the previous year (September 2022: 37,427).

Cyprus Airways has recently announced the launch of its new route to the captivating city of Nice, France. Effective December 12 of this year, travellers will have the golden opportunity to explore the stunning French Riviera with twice-weekly flights operating on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Cyprus Airways has announced outstanding performance for August of this year, a month in which the airline transported a total of 79,804 passengers. This remarkable achievement marks a 71 percent increase in passenger numbers compared to the same month in the previous year (August 2022: 46,800).
