Blue Air started services to the island in 2008, connecting it to Bucharest.

On January 19, 2015, the company stationed an aircraft at Larnaka International Airport and commenced routes from the coastal city to Athens and Thessaloniki.

The carrier has already announced the arrival of a second plane to the Cypriot base, while it awaits approval to introduce new Tehran and Tel Aviv routes from Larnaca.
