Cyprus, Greece and Jordan signed trilateral agreements in the framework of the first Trilateral Summit among the afore-mentioned countries, held at the presidential palace in Nicosia on January 16.

The fifth Trilateral Summit among Cyprus, Greece and Egypt took place on November 21 in Nicosia, with Nicos Anastasiades, president, Cyprus, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, president, Egypt, and Alexis Tsipras, prime minister, Greece, present.

Elena Kountoura, minister, tourism, Cyprus; George Lakkotrypis, minister, energy, trade, industry and tourism, Cyprus; and Sameh Hassan Shoukry, foreign minister, Egypt, signed a protocol on cooperation between Greece and Cyprus for the enhancement of cruise tourism in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The second Trilateral Meeting of the permanent secretaries/ secretary generals of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, Greece and Jordan took place on October 18, in Athens.

According to data released by Aegean Airlines, international passenger traffic increased by 15 percent during April and May, compared to the corresponding period in 2016, with the carrier transporting 1.2 million passengers .
