After months of refraining from travelling, also due to restrictive measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, rail passenger transport is getting back on track. In the third quarter (Q3) of 2021, the rail sector in the EU is recording a significant increase in terms of passengers.

Guidelines for woman empowerment published by the World Tourism organization (UNWTO) were developed with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Development (BMZ), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and UN Women. They aim to ensure an inclusive and resilient recovery from the impacts of the pandemic.

On the basis of the results of the Cyprus Passenger Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism reached EUR54,0 million in December 2021 compared to EUR9,1 million in December 2020, and EUR54,6 million in December 2019.
