On November 01, the first information event for Delightful Journeys took place at the Environmental Information Centre of Larnaka Mountainous Area.

Continuing its efforts to upgrade and promote Cyprus as an all-year round destination, Pafos Regional Board of Tourism has recently approved the Preliminary Budget and Promotion Plan for 2018.

With the city gearing up to welcome a high number of visitors this winter, Pafos Regional Board of Tourism has invited all tourism businesses including hoteliers, travel agents and owners of leisure centres to invest into turning the coastal city into an all year-round destination.

Larnaka Tourism Board has recently received TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence for its Winter Experience programme, which took place for the fifth consecutive year.

The weekly initiative aims to boost winter tourism by providing free activities to tourists staying in Larnaca’s hotels between November and April.

Through a wide range of engaging activities including guided tours, excursions to villages, wine tasting, halloumi production, bird watching, basketry and preparation of local dishes of traditional dishes, the excursions enhance visitors’ experience while engaging them in local tradition.

The project is able to continue thanks to support from number of organisations such as Cyprus Tourism Organisation, Camel Park Mazotos, Ktima Christoudia, as well as local municipalities and other businesses.
