DP World Limassol’s first four years of its 25-year concession agreement with the Republic of Cyprus, which marked the commercialisation of the Limassol port, the company has recorded impressive results, leading to a considerable increase in government revenue from the port’s operations.
On the basis of the results of the Cyprus Passenger Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism in December 2020 reached EUR9,1 million compared to EUR54,6 million in the corresponding month of 2019, recording a decrease of 83,3 percent.
For the period January – December 2020, revenue from tourism is estimated at EUR392,0 million compared to EUR2.683,0 million in the corresponding period of 2019, recording a decrease of 85,4 percent.
