Cyprus Statistical Service (CYSTAT) announced the expansion of its presence in the world of social media with the launch of its official Instagram account (@cystat_cy). Based on its established presence on X and Facebook, CYSTAT is now reaching out to a broader audience of users through Instagram.

During 2023, guests spent 678.6 million nights in short-term rental accommodation in the EU booked via Airbnb, Booking, Expedia Group or TripAdvisor. This corresponds to a 13.8 percent increase compared with 2022 (596.5 million).
Based on the results of the Passengers Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, Cyprus revenue from tourism reached EUR45,2 million in January of this year compared to EUR45,6 million in the corresponding month of 2023, recording a decrease of 0,9 percent.
