The Department of Antiquities of the Deputy Ministry of Culture announces that Dr David Soren (University of Arizona) donated to the Department of Antiquities his archive from the excavations in Kourion, which were conducted in the late 1970s and in the 1980s.

The Department of Antiquities, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announced the completion of the 2022 fieldwork season of the Italian Erimi Archaeological Project at Laonin tou Porakou, where an international team leaded by the University of Siena and directed by Professor Luca Bombardieri, investigated an extended area of the Bronze Age settlement located on the highest plateau on the eastern Kouris riverbank.

April 18  was established in 1983 by UNESCO, as the International Day for Monuments and Sites, following a proposal by the International Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS).
