On the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, Cyprus’s revenue from tourism reached EUR57,6 million in December 2022 compared to EUR54,0 million in December 2021, recording an increase of 6,7 percent.
A total number of 136.717 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in January of this year, compared to 48.382 in the corresponding month in 2022, recording an increase of 182,6 percent.
The main countries from which the residents of Cyprus returned this January were Greece with 32,9 percent and the UK with 12,9 percent.
Cyprus tourist arrivals reached 90.549 this January compared to 43.944 in January 2022, recording an increase of 106,1 percent.
