The Department of Antiquities announced the discovery of an ancient shipwreck in the sea off Protaras, Cyprus.

On June 25 the International Shipping Community celebrates annually the Day of the Seafarer, which was set by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) in 2011.

Dolphins were recently spotted in Ayia Napa’s sea, swimming close to the shore.

Dolphins swam in a pack in relatively shallow waters and were clearly visible by those lucky enough to see this themselves.

According to a study by the government’s fisheries, five different species of these mammals can be spotted in different areas around Cyprus. Some of them are shy and stay in deeper waters, whilst others are roaming closer to the shore.
