Following the decrees published by the Government of Cyprus and the measures taken to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), the Cyprus Passengers Survey, which provides data on tourist arrivals, revenue from tourism and the returns of residents of Cyprus from a trip abroad, was not conducted in May of this year.

On the basis of the results of the Cyprus Passengers Survey, 121,354 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in February compared to 102,756 in the corresponding month in 2019, recording an increase of 18,1 percent.
In February there was an increase of 18,7 percent in the trips of residents to Greece (39.,061 in February compared to 32,910 in February 2019) and 11,1 percent increase to the UK (18,389 compared to 16,553 in 2019).
Cyprus aviation traffic has declined by 91,6 percent compared to the same period in 2019, following the March 21 decree by the Ministry of Transport to close airports for 14 days due to the coronavirus pandemic.
