After 18 challenging months due to the pandemic, and with traffic reaching its lowest point, the last few months demonstrate a substantial recovery which bears hopeful messages for a stable upturn, with the hope that the worst is behind us.  

A new dining spot is now open at Larnaca International Airport for departing passengers.

The council of ministers recently adopted a proposal providing for a mandatory self-isolation for 72 hours and the carrying out of a PCR laboratory test 72 hours after arrival, to all passengers arriving from category A and B countries, thus strengthening the measures implemented at the airports of the Republic since their re-opening in the summer of 2020.

A total number of 17,958 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in December 2020, compared to 144,619 in the corresponding month of 2019, recording a decrease of 87,6 percent.

Within the framework of Hermes Airport’s social responsibility and sustainability strategy, the company recently donated 12 computers to Kiti Gymnasium. As an organisation that comprehends the needs of our society, it has responded to the school’s call for support.

An emergency exercise was successfully completed on 10 December 10  at Larnaka International Airport with the participation of governmental and non-governmental departments and services, operating in the airport.
