The Cyprus Department of Antiquities, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announced the completion of the conservation and restoration of the Chalcolithic roundhouse replica at the site of Kissonerga-Mosfilia, in the Pafos District.

The arrivals of Cyprus tourists reached 8,811 in March of this year, recording a decrease of 84,1 percent compared to March 2020 (during which 55,342 arrivals were recorded), and a decrease of 94,8 percent compared to March 2019 (with 169,934 arrivals).

As one of the oldest cities in the world, Larnaca has a rich history of different civilisations that have left their mark on the region, including the Phoenicians. The long-awaited excavations of the ancient port of Kition in 2021, along with the city’s role in the Phoenicians' Route tourism project, will further enhance its link to the Phoenicians. 

April 18  was established in 1983 by UNESCO, as the International Day for Monuments and Sites, following a proposal by the International Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS).
