Hermes Airports continues its commitment to sustainable development by advancing two major initiatives that strengthen its sustainability strategy. Through innovative technologies and international partnerships, the company aims to further reduce the environmental footprint of Larnaca and Paphos airports by adopting green practices.

Hermes Airports has become the only airport operator to hold Platinum Accreditation in both People and Wellbeing, from Investors in People.

March 14 marked the opening ceremony of Cyprus Airways Ticketing Office in Larnaca Airport, which enables Cyprus Airways to assist passengers directly and foster a relationship of trust and commitment among the airline and its target market.

The year 2023 concluded with a positive sign for tourism in Cyprus, as passenger traffic at Cyprus airports recorded more than 11.6 million passengers, with an average of 32,000 passengers per day (41K/summer, 18K/winter). Passenger traffic in 2023 had an increase of three percent compared to 2019, marking the best performance ever recorded at Cyprus Airports.

Hermes Airports has achieved the Gold Accreditation of Investors in People (IIP) for the well-being practices implemented by the organisation.

The best performing February ever at Cyprus Airports, was this February with a 10 percent increase in comparison to the passenger traffic of February in 2019, a record year in terms of passenger traffic. In total, more than 454,000 passengers travelled to and from Larnaca and Paphos airports.

A total number of 119.466 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in October of this year, compared to 64.547 in the corresponding month in 2021.

Hermes Airports and the Cypurs Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works have signed the commercial agreement for the airline incentive schemes covering the period 2022-2027.
