Martha Mavrommatis, high commissioner to New Zealand, Cyprus, has presented her Letters of Credence to Patsy Reddy, governor, New Zealand.
During the recent session of the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA), the College of EU Commissioners approved a nomination submitted by the Maritime Transport Directorate of the European Commission, for the appointment of Thomas Kazakos, director general, Cyprus Shipping Chamber, as member of the board of directors of EMSA.
Cyprus and the UK signed an agreement transferring to the island a piece of land owned by the UK for the amount of EUR8.6 million.
Fitch Ratings recently upgraded Cyprus’ long-term foreign and local currency Issue Default Ratings by one notch to BB- from B+.
