Cyprus Airways Transported Uniforms and Passengers

A total of 38 passengers and a thousand uniforms for doctors and nurses, provided by China, were transported from Athens to Cyprus by a Cyprus Airways aircraft.

The aircraft, which landed at Larnaca Airport on March 31, was carrying a five-member crew and 38 Cypriots who had travelled to various European countries for medical reasons and were stranded due to the coronavirus pandemic.

At home, where they would remain in self-restraint for 14 days, some of the passengers who had specific medical problems (e.g. undergoing surgery) were transported.

The remaining passengers were transported by bus to specific areas selected by the Republic of Cyprus, where they will be restricted for 14 days.

The aircraft also transported thousands of medical uniforms donated by China to meet the needs of healthcare professionals and nurses, who are at the forefront of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
